Introduction
My counseling approach is biblically based and reliant on helping you to build a solid, loving relationship with our dear Lord. He saves, He heals and He gives us the privilege to walk with His beloved children. I help my clients to know and love themselves as God loves us. To know His word and to be led by Him. To know who our Father is and to love others as He loves us. We need to be healthy in our mind, spirit, and body ( to practice good, healthy lifestyle habits) to function well, to heal, and handle our traumas and difficulties. Abiding in His love, healing, and utilizing clinical tools will heal and strengthen our relationships, Godly esteem, purpose, and life goals. We are blessed with strong, loving church families to help us grow, serve others and be a part of His family. By combining a strong relationship with our Father, working and growing in our faith, and serving with our church family we can heal from the hurts in our lives and help others.
Faith-Based Counseling Approach
Faith is my counseling. I explore their faith, questions, and fears. I show them how much our Father loves them, through His word, media, and prayer. I will ask them to commit to activities and homework that will help them grow in His word and their relationship with Him. I will help to disciple them and bring them to an intimate relationship with our Father. I will help them find a community of faith where they can grow and be nourished as well as serve in our dear Lord's family.
Personal Faith Statement
My faith is my life. I can't imagine living without my loving Father and growing in His word, being guided through Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I see His love for all of in everything, the sea, sweet animals, children, families.... every wonder. My relationship is constant, intimate and so sweet. I am so blessed to be loved by Him and to be His daughter. I am also so very privileged to be anointed in His calling that He trusts His loved ones to be cared for by me ( through His guidance and care.) He has placed me in a caring and growing church and allows me to teach, counsel, and thrive with this amazing church family.
Qualifications
Licenses & Certifications
Advanced accreditation in family crisis therapy, marital and premarital counseling.
Masters in pastoral counseling with the National Association of Christian Counseling program.
4 years as a counselor with a private psychiatric hospital.
4 years volunteered with the national suicide prevention and intervention program.
