Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW, PMH-C
My counseling practice aims to help those in pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. I work with women struggling with fertility, going through pregnancy loss, the emotional rollercoaster of pregnancy, and the hardships of the postpartum period. This is such a crucial time in a persons life, I believe support is SO important. Whether you are struggling with general anxiety or struggles related to pregnancy and parenthood you do not have to suffer in silence anymore. You deserve to live a happy more carefree life free of self judgment and comparisons.
I meet my client where they are at. I inquire and ask the important questions about faith and religion and how it plays a role in their life and I disclose my own faith. From there, we explore how faith can be incorporated into sessions together. I provide examples like praying together, reading scripture or devotions, or simply reminding the client how powerful faith is as a coping skill when they need that reminder. Whatever the client needs, I aim to provide.
I grew up in a Christian household, attended a Christian school up until 9th grade and always loved going to youth group on Sundays. However, I didn't fully understand the magnitude of God's love for me until I came back from living away for college. I "strayed away" and lived a life of sin during those years and I felt His warm embrace and love upon my return. I was lost and lonely at that time and He lifted me up and made me feel whole again. From then on I have been dedicated to doing my best to be faithful and serve Him.
